Blues Jamm Project, the hottest thing out of Kingston since Rat Scabies stole his dad’s van!
It all started back in 2011 with just one member, expanding to five members in 2015.
Influenced by soul, blues, classic rock and funk, the Blues Jamm Project play a blend of haunting melodies and hard hitting riffs backed by a solid beat that keeps the energy high and the crowds coming back.
Having sold out local venues after only a few gigs, the Blues Jamm Project are looking to bring their burgeoning fan base to new venues. They have regularly drawn crowds in the hundreds to their live shows, have three and a half thousand on-line followers and recently released their first EP, ‘The Powerhouse Sessions,’ which shows off the punch and finesse they can bring to any venue.
From the soulful blues of ‘Going back to New Orleans,’ to the funk party of ‘’Slap Blues Jam,’ the band have already established a wide repertoire that will win over new fans and keep those in the know coming back for more.
The raw, driven guitar of the band’s founder Jorge Martins has won international plaudits, whilst the diverse experience of the rhythm section of ‘Banger’ Nicks and Robin Churchill, professionals who have played in a number of regularly gigging bands, provide a tight and sophisticated foundation to allow the voice of Fiona Sweeney to bring a husky but powerful focus to the wholly original songs that Blues Jamm Project play.
The band are looking forward to filling new venues, making new friends and rocking the blues wherever they can. They are a band full of energy and it’s obvious that they love to play together.
